My lessons are 100% tailored to your learning approach and goals. I tend to use my material and create the learning experience just for you.
My teaching method in a nutshell:
Engaging targeted conversation:
I give you visual or conversational inputs and we debate the topic
I tell you stories of my everyday life as you were a friend of mine and I ask you to get the meaning of it
thru writing you will take your Italian to the next level, no doubt about it! We will write stories together or you will write about your passions and life.
We will start from pronunciations rules and build together the basics that will let you become independent in making the firsts sentence. You will be encouraged to speak from day one.
If you are already conversational, we will instead focus on vocab building and verbal production (using Italian press articles, youtube videos, blogs..).
The course aims at having you stepping out of your comfort zone and learn to speak as native. I will encourage you to use idioms and make your Italian sounds more natural.
I also love to teach my culture; therefore we will often talk about Italian trends, traditions & lifestyle.
I use Google Drive & Quizlet (a flashcard platform) during my classes: I usually teach on Skype, but I also have a few backups when it is not working.
I am a certified teacher of Italian as a foreign language at the University of Venice, Italy and I regularly take refreshing courses on Italian teaching strategies delivered by the leading institutions in Italy.
As for now, I am teaching online full time and love it.
****Lateness****: If you are late I will wait for 15 minutes for you and we'll do the rest of the session until the end of the original time. If you do not show up you will be charged the full amount.
