I am Marie-Caroline. I am a freelance French translator and a certified French as a Foreign Language teacher. I live in France, near the city of Strasbourg. I love to pass on my native and adored language. Teaching and translating raises questions I would have never imagined, and it is fascinating !
I aim at helping people to use French in a way that is relevant to them. I am fond of the work of a man called Chris Londale, who studies language acquisition. To put it in a nutshell, learning a language must be meaningful, relevant, a tool to communicate from day one, practical, requires benevolence and includes the entire body, from the brain to the muscles, and from the eyes to the mouth !
I teach to adults, teenagers and children (I am a young mother myself). I use a broadband Internet connection via fibre.
To keep my students motivated and to help them studying regularly, I have created a learner's group on FB with daily lessons. So don't hesitate to join "Le café français de Marie-Caroline".
I also post videos on my YouTube channel "Marie-Caroline Braud".
La question de la bonne méthode pour enseigner et apprendre une langue étrangère demeure une sorte de Graal. De même que pour cette quête mythique, on a foi en son existence et on multiplie les recherches....
