I am Marie-Caroline, 35 years old. I am a freelance French translator and a certified French as a Foreign Language teacher. I live in France, near the city of Strasbourg. My career as a translator estranged me from teaching and I am looking forward to transmitting my native and adored language again !
I aim at helping people to use French in a way that is relevant to them. I am fond of the work of a man called Chris Londale, who studies language acquisition. To put it in a nutshell, learning a language must be meaningful, relevant, a tool to communicate from day one, practical, requires benevolence and includes the entire body, from the brain to the muscles, and from the eyes to the mouth !
I teach to adults, teenagers and children (I am a young mother myself).
For my students to stay motivated, I have created a learner's group on FB. Don't hesitate to join "Le café français de Marie-Caroline"
La question de la bonne méthode pour enseigner et apprendre une langue étrangère demeure une sorte de Graal. De même que pour cette quête mythique, on a foi en son existence et on multiplie les recherches....
