My name is David. I was born in The USSR and I am currently living in Armenia. I speak four languages. My mother tongue is Russian and my "father tongue" is Armenian. :)
After watching a huge amount of language learning videos and studying various linguistic materials, I've come to a conclusion that the most important thing is that language learning just gotta be interesting and words have to be RELEVANT to you so that you may easily remember them.
The main thing I myself try to focus on is listening and speaking. I think if you wanna learn a language, you should listen a lot. It's very helpful to find topics that you are interested in and listen to native speakers and try to understand them, using subtitles (for videos) for some complicated sentences and words if you need.
And socializing helps a lot too!
I heard a guy on YouTube saying, "Kill books with video". And I'd also say put away textbooks. Even burn them in your backyard. But please don't hurt yourself. :) Come and join us and have LIVE communication with native speakers.
If you've read until here, you're a hero! Thank you! Please book a lesson with me.
