I'm Australian but currently live in Bogota, Colombia, where I teach business English to executives of big companies. The problem is that I work for an institution and spend more time on public transport than I do with teaching. As a result, I hate my job and want to, one day, teach exclusively on Verbling.
I have a TESOL certificate, but more importantly I have practical experience. Four years ago I volunteered as a teacher in Indonesia, teaching children English. This year I taught children English at a primary school in Colombia. And now I work in Bogota, doing what I mentioned above. I also have two private students, both adults; one I teach basic English to, and the second I teach advanced pronunciation and phrasal verbs. Also, for many years I've edited essays.
I've graduated in film writing, have studied professional writing at university and dream of being an author, currently focusing on my children's novel.
It's worth noting that I intend on using the money from Verbling to pay for a CELTA course.
My approach to teaching is purely logical and tailored to the student. I am bubbly, extremely kind, clear and analytical. I teach what needs to be taught, and as I encounter problems, I remedy them. If you want to study for a specific exam or have other goals for needing lessons, I will learn what you need and will create lessons for you.
Please message me your questions or if you just want to chat before buying a lesson.
