Hello everyone! My name is Mike Ureche. Language learning and education for me is more than just a fun hobby (thought I do love it!). Teaching and language learning is about celebrating linguistic diversity and connecting the globe in greater ways. That is why I have been teaching English for 5 years and dedicated myself to this trade.
I work weekly with refugees, immigrants, and migrants in my own community and am excited about working with you! I hold a Master's in Theology (Specialization in Bible Languages) and a 150-hour TESOL certificate from Arizona State University. I have taught English to dozens of language groups at all levels. I am an upper-intermediate Spanish speaker and am continuing this language-learning journey.
I believe the best way to teach is to first learn the way you learn best. There are many great methods of teaching, but the best method is the one you best respond to. Therefore, we will spend some time learning about how you learn best, and will then address a plan to reach your language goals.
When I'm not teaching English, I'll most likely be mountain-biking, hanging out with family, or by the water. I look forward to meeting you!
