Hi, everyone! My name is Alexandra, I'm 25 years old and I'm a Russian language teacher. I studied in the Urals, in Ekaterinburg, the city where Asia meets Europe. I have a bachelor's degree in philology and I love everything about studying and teaching languages and culture. One of the most important parts of my lifestyle and work is traveling across Russia and studying the history of the ethnic groups living in Russia. I travelled to Karelia, lived in the Caucasus near Elbrus, in the east near the Sea of Japan. At the moment I live and teach Russian in St. Petersburg, the cultural capital of Russia. In my lessons I try to to show students the diversity and richness of Russian culture. If you choose to learn Russian with me, here's what you can expect: 1. Structured, effective and unusual exercises and materials. 2. Results and new language skills after each lesson. 3. For each student, I offer a unique learning style, shaped by the student's memorization style, number of lessons per week and preferences. 4. I prefer to give my students homework, as I believe it significantly increases the efficiency of the classes. 5. I always send the material of each lesson to the student so that he can view and print it out I always send the material of each lesson to the student so that he can view and print it out if needed.
Привет! :D My name is Petr. I'm originally from Moscow, Russia, but I live in the U.S., so if you live in the Western Hemisphere, my schedule will work just great for you. I speak fluent English and am conversant in Spanish and German, so if you speak any of those languages, I will be happy to use them with you. I also speak and understand a little French and Arabic. I hold a bachelor's degree in languages from a university in Moscow, and a master's degree in Language Education from a university in the U.S. I also have experience teaching Russian and English as a Second Language (ESL) in both Russia and the U.S. I currently work in a university where I teach both these languages. Everything in one place! So at any time we can go back and review everything. From the very beginning I prioritise speaking on my lessons. Cause that’s exactly why you’re looking for a teacher, right? So we’ll speak as much as possible and I can assure you, you will be comfortable:) To make our lessons more effective, after each session you’ll get a homework to do. I’ve been a Russian teacher since 2014 and have taught many levels and skills, from Elementary to Advanced. I use a variety of methods, though find the communicative approach alongside of the PPP method most successful and suitable. I design my lessons in power point, use audio clips, short films and text books so you find it easy to follow and well organized.
