International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) - 英語のチューター＆先生
My name is Kat Rogan. I'm from the United States. And I love languages. I have been a professional language trainer for over 14 years. I have been traveling around the world and meeting people from just about every country I can think of. I started teaching English in China in 2006 and have traveled all over the place since that time. And the biggest thing I can say I have learned about myself is, I really love languages and cultures. I spend a lot of time practicing Chinese; and I totally love it. I also love Spanish. Born and raised in the United States, Spanish is my second language. I studied Spanish in high school and university, but I know I need to improve. Though I can understand most what is being said in Spanish, my speaking does need some practice. That's why I know how important it is to keep practicing my speaking ability. Or I could lose it. Though I am not too bad at speaking languages, I do know the feeling of not being able to speak at the level I would like. So I keep trying to learn new methods and systems of learning. And I really like to learn more about people, and their cultures. This is why I love learning languages. And this is also why I really love my job. Kat Rogan Qualifications & Experience My education encompasses a long career as a news reporter and journalist as a Mass Communication student from the University of Utah. I also have a degree in Business Management from Weber State University. My master's education is in Multi-Media Film, MFA. I specialize in all forms of professional communication in business, interviewing, writing, examinations, basic conversation, and kid's phonics training. And I am TEFL certified to teach children. Having been a language trainer and learner for 14 years, I have taught thousands of students from around the world. In my experience, I have developed dedicated lesson planning systems, specifically designed for the student depending on their needs. Interestingly, I have found many ESL students with difficulties reaching their true potential. I have also found traditional models of learning to be rather rigid and outdated for progressive thought in the high-paced technologically-driven communication world we live in today. These issues are very important when it comes to speaking at high levels or high-pressure situations. My system brings together the best learning programs into one comprehensive lesson planning system and is adjustable to each specific need and goal of the learner. Some of my classes have helped my students to pass entry exams, get great jobs, get into great universities, succeed at all levels of speaking, writing, and communication for professional and interpersonal use all while having fun. My classes are fun, and I really love teaching that's why I still do it after all these years. Education 1. BS Business Management/Finance 2. BS Mass Communication/Journalism 3. Hello! I love talking to people and facilitating their learning. I have a post-graduate teaching qualification (PGCE) from the UK and TEFL certificate, with a wide experience in education, and I have given courses to people aged 3-63 for several years. I have also recently completed a Teaching IELTS and a Business English TEFL course. I aim to create a relaxed and enjoyable teaching environment, whilst being thorough and working with each student's needs, and I am easy to talk to! So don't worry if you are nervous or don't feel confident - I can help you with that. Have you forgotten your English? Know how to read and write, but afraid to speak...? Would you like to practise your English more often? I can help you to improve your English! The sessions concentrate on the practical use of the language, conversation and pronunciation. They are mainly intended to be a relaxed and enjoyable method of learning and to get used to speaking, but can also be combined with grammar and can be adapted to suit all ages and levels (although I am not currently taking complete beginners, sorry). I can also offer intensive courses. I often work with students of intermediate-advanced levels to help perfect their spoken English. I have helped students prepare for IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge speaking exams - a recent student of mine got 111/120 on the TOEFL exam! I have also assisted students with confidence, to achieve more natural rhythm and intonation, and even issues concerning being understood, communicating effectively, politeness and cultural differences in language!! **Dear current students! If you can't find the time you want, you can send me a message**

I am a certified teacher and have ESL, TOESL and TEFL certificates. I am also IELTS exam trained. I work with students ages 4 and above. I naturally have the ideal and neutral American accent from the Northern Midwest of the United States. This is the accent that radio and television personalities train to speak like and is the most common reasons students work with me. I teach accent reduction, business English, English for travel, beginner to advanced conversation, verb exercises, colloquial practice, and listening comprehension. I help with all exam preparations. My teaching style in communicative. The goal of my lessons is that my students speak clearly and effectively from the beginning. Speaking a new language is all about being able to talk, so that is the top priority! Learning a language should be fun and challenging at the same time and my lessons do both. Please be sure to message me before we begin our lessons to let me know about your particular language learning goals.
